Is someone pulling you down?

These days, many people don’t understand the real meaning of "Pulling down". Most of us refer to this as getting lost in a herd of sheeps where all other sheeps are more or less equally talented and trained.
Modernization has made a "lifestyle trend" which is hard for most of us to maintain. Around 70% of Indian youth can’t afford the trend. Still they try to change and turn themselves in that direction.
For example, sometimes I wonder how many of us actually like "Sushi"?? And how many times have you refrained someone offering you "Sushi"? Did you think that saying "No" would make that person feel that you are "Uncool" or were you just following the trend? This is where we fail to understand the inner us. Why do you have to say a "Yes" for something which you don’t like? Why do we do that? To help maintain the flow of the "Trends" on?
Similarly, people face such issues in their work life as well. People feel jealous upon your achievements. Actually, knowingly or unknowingly, all of us have entered a "World of Rat Race"- it’s a space where there is no space for your own thoughts to dwell, it’s a push which leads to nowhere mentally, it’s a cacaphony where you forget to listen to yourself. Sadly, this is the reality and most of us have to follow this because "Survival of the fittest" still trends. But let me tell you, there is no parameter to judge your fitness. One might not be fit for "Work A". On the other hand, the same person can excel in "Work B" with wonderful inputs.
A person who is happy at work can never be pulled down. Pulling down doesn’t necessarily apply for someone pulling down the other always, but most of the times people are pulled down due to other reasons. If you aren’t happy doing something then try to figure out the reason behind it, try to work on that, try your 100% level best. If it still doesn’t work then I suggest you must go for some other option. Life isn’t always about making money. Now, some of you would feel that Money is important..yes!! Money is important but isn’t more important than your happiness.
Why is there a choice of occupation?? If it would be only about making money then we would have been randomly alloted some work even if we lack interest..there would be a single straight system of employment which would help recruit people according to the need and availability rather than interest and passion. But, it isn’t like the above mentioned right!
We made ourselves what we are today. Choose something in which your passion lies. And if you have multiple interests then try to figure out the most special one. Run behind your happiness and feed your thoughts. Feeding your thoughts will help you become mentally stronger. We have only one life to live. Chase your happiness first, then your happiness will help you in earning your livelihood. Afterall, health is wealth.

PS: It’s never too late to restart.

With love,
